Turkey worst in OECD for unregistered economy: Study

The share of the unregistered economy in Turkey is bigger than any other Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) member state, according to a new study. 

The shadow economy's ratio to the Turkish cross domestic product is at 28.72 percent, said the study's author Ceyhun Elgin, from the Economy Department of Istanbul's Bosphorus University. 

India sentences 35 crew of US anti-piracy ship

An Indian court sentenced Jan. 11 a total of 35 sailors, including several from Britain, Estonia and Ukraine, for illegally entering Indian waters carrying weapons aboard a U.S.-operated anti-piracy boat in 2013.

A judge in India's southern state of Tamil Nadu ordered all 35 crew present in the court to serve five years in jail, the prosecutor in the case, S Chandrasekar told AFP.

A specialized website has ranked Bulgaria among twenty countries offering the world´s best WiFi services.

In terms of average download speed, Lithuania and Estonia have come first in a ranking published on UK-based tech watchdog Rotten WiFi's blog which includes tests of speed and quality of public hotspots in 184 countries.
