VIDEO: 10 Syrians die as overcrowded minibus crashes in northwest Turkey
10 Syrian nationals have died when an overcrowded minibus they were travelling in hit a wall in the northwestern Turkish province of Bal?kesir, state-run Anadolu Agency reported on Aug. 8 citing local officials.
Havran district governor Yasin Öztürk said nine people died and 31 others were injured in the accident near the Sapc? region.

Industrial production up in June
Turkish industrial production was up sharply in June, as manufacturing and energy output surged, the Turkish Statistical Institute reported on Aug. 7.
Industrial production increased 5.5 percent in June, compared with the same month last year, the report said. Production was also up 2.4 percent from May 2015.

Turkey: Blast hits Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipeline
An explosion has hit the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars-Erzurum gas pipeline in eastern Turkey, a provincial governor has told Anadolu Agency.
Günay Özdemir, the governor of northeastern Kars province, said the blast happened in the early hours of Aug. 4 at a section of the pipeline located in the Sar?kam?? district. Gas flow was cut in nearby Ya?basan village for safety reasons.
