Azerbaijani media reported that Baku and Yerevan agreed on a cease-fire in the new conflict as of 09:00 local time today. "A ceasefire agreement was reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan starting today at 09:00 a.m. local time," Sputnik Azerbaijan reported, referring to its sources, according to the Russian agency.

The Turkish parliament on Nov. 10 ratified a motion to parliament to extend the deployment of Turkish troops in Azerbaijan for one more year.

The main objective for Turkey and Azerbaijan is the continuity of a cease-fire and to bring stability to the region, Turkish defense chief Hulusi Akar said on Nov. 5 at a reception at the Azerbaijan Embassy in Ankara for Victory Day.

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will head to Azerbaijan on Oct. 26, his third visit since the liberation of the Karabakh region last November.

Erdoğan will meet his counterpart Ilham Aliyev and attend the inauguration of the Fuzuli International Airport.

The Turkish arms industry is booming, and the country's drones are a real export hit. President Erdogan is proud of the development in the industry, and the army regularly tests new weapons abroad, Deutsche Welle reports.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on Sept. 27 reiterated Turkey's support to Azerbaijan and called on parties for normalization process in the region on the first anniversary of the Karabakh war.

Turkic Council members are meeting in Istanbul on Sept. 27 to discuss current developments in Afghanistan, where the Taliban have taken power.

Armenia is seeing "positive signals" from Turkey and will respond in kind, the country's prime minister said on Aug. 27.

At a Cabinet meeting in the capital Yerevan, Premier Nikol Pashinyan acknowledged that there were positive signals coming from Ankara in terms of regional peace.

The Azerbaijan-Turkey Brotherhood Park opened on May 10 in the city of Guba in Azerbaijan's northeastern Quba district.

The park's opening ceremony was attended by Turkish ambassador to Azerbaijan Cahit Bağcı, Ziyaddin Aliyev, the head of the Guba executive authority, and lawmakers Ahliman Amiraslanov and Ganira Pashayeva.
