A real estate deal in Jerusalem's Old City, at the epicenter of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, has sent the historic Armenian community there into a panic as residents search for answers about the feared loss of their homes to a mysterious investor.

At the meeting of the Sofia Municipal Council a report will be adopted on the Operational Work Program of the Council for the year 2018, as well as the new program for the work of the municipal councilors in 2019.

On the agenda of the municipal councilors is also a proposal by the mayor Yordanka Fandakova for funding to complete the construction or maintenance of churches.

A group of thieves on Sept. 15 broke into an Armenian Orthodox Church in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul, stealing a number of religious artefacts, Doğan News Agency has reported.

Locals in the area spotted the thieves at the Surp Krikor Lusavoric Armenian Orthodox Church while they were trying to put a huge painting and a cross they stole from the church inside a vehicle nearby.
