Main opposition chairman Republican People's Party (CHP) Chair Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has announced the new top executive board following the defeat in the parliamentary and presidential polls.

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the leader of the Republican People's Party (CHP) who has lost the presidential race in the May 28 polls, will hold meetings with his senior aides and party officials to assess the election results and set a road map for the coming period.

The Turkish government is failing to provide support to the people during the pandemic, main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) spokesperson Faik Öztrak said on June 14.

Turkey's parliament will pass a long-awaited draft bill on animal rights before the end of the current legislative session, the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) spokesperson Ömer Çelik said on June 7.

Turkey expects Greece to take a positive stance in recently restarted exploratory talks meant to resolve several bilateral issues, a ruling party official said on Jan. 26. 

Turkey's opposition Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) on June 15 started the "March for Democracy against Coup" in the northwestern province of Edirne and the southeastern province of Hakkari.

The march, which aimed to end in the capital Ankara on June 20, has faced restrictions including bans on entry and exit to some provinces due to the novel coronavirus outbreak.
