Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and Chairman of the State Council of China Li Keqiang have expressed satisfaction with the results achieved during their meetings in Sofia. This was announced by the press service of the Council of Ministers. They spoke before Li Keqiang's departure, who was on an official four-day visit to Bulgaria.

Prime Minister Viorica Dancila discussed on Monday at the Victoria Palace with Vice-President of the European Commission and European Commissioner for the Energy Union Maros Sefcovic about Romania's preparation for taking over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the priorities in the energy area, as well as about Romanian authorities accessing the EU Solidarity Fund.

The European Parliament will meet in Strasbourg this week with Prime Minister Boyko Borisov's report on the work of the first Bulgarian presidency of the Council of the EU.

At the European Council meeting in Brussels on Friday, Romania's President Klaus Iohannis reaffirmed support for the implementation of the Digital Single Market objectives.

President Klaus Iohannis welcomed at the Cotroceni Presidential Palace on Tuesday Wess Mitchell, assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian Affairs, who voiced hope that Romania will continue to progress with strengthening democracy and the rule of law, underlining that the United States is closely following the developments in Romania.

In addition to the Serbian prime minister, the panel was also attended by prime ministers of Croatia and Montenegro Andrej Plenkovic and Dusko Markovic respectively and Deputy Executive Director of the Border Agency of the European Union FRONTEX Berndt Korner.
