EU Allocates EUR 6.3 M to Bulgaria for Recovery after Severe Winter
The European Commission (EC) allocated on Thursday EUR 6.3 M from the EU Solidarity Fund to Bulgaria in order for the country to deal with the damages caused by the severe winter conditions in the beginning of the year.
EC grants 16.2 mln euros to Greece and Bulgaria after natural disasters
The Commission decided to grant aid worth €16.2 million from the EU Solidarity Fund to Greece and Bulgaria following natural disasters that occurred in the winter of 2015. Greece suffered from wide-spread flooding affecting five of its regions, while considerable damage was caused in Bulgaria due to severe winter conditions.
Available funds three times lower than flood damage
BELGRADE - Only a third of the funds needed to repair the EUR 1.7 billion damage from the devastating floods last year are available to Serbia, Director of the Serbian government's Office for Reconstruction and Flood Relief Marko Blagojevic said Wednesday.

EU Grants Nearly EUR 2 M in Recovery Aid to Bulgaria
The European Commission granted on Thursday EUR 1.98 M to Bulgaria for addressing the consequences of the 2014 floods.
The funds, which were allocated from the EU Solidarity Fund, aim to partially cover the emergency costs of recovery operations after the floods, the press service of the Commission informs.
