Parties assigned places on ballot papers for March polls
The Supreme Electoral Council (YSK) has finalized the order of political parties on the ballot papers for March 31's local elections.
The announcement follows the withdrawal of one party and the rebranding of another.
Parliament passes joint resolution following deadly PKK attack
Türkiye's parliament has passed a joint resolution condemning recent PKK attacks during a plenary session on Jan. 16, with the motion receiving support from all parties with the exception of the People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party).
HDP to merge with Green Left Party soon
The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), currently facing a closure case over alleged ties to the PKK terror organization, has decided to join forces with the Greens and Left Future Party (YSP).
During the May elections, the HDP nominated its parliamentary candidates on the YSP lists, garnering nearly 5 million votes.

Felicity, Future parties form joint group in parliament
The Felicity Party and the Future Party have agreed to form a joint group in the Turkish parliament.
The new group, represented under the umbrella of the Felicity Party, will be led by Selçuk Özdağ, the Muğla deputy of the Future Party. According to the agreement, each party will have a representative as the group's vice-chair.
Kılıçdaroğlu dismisses all advisers
Main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has dismissed all his advisers appointed before June 4, amid growing calls for a change within the party before the March 2024 municipal elections.
"We express our gratitude to each and every one of them for their contributions to the CHP," the party statement said.

İYİ Party: Nation Alliance is over
The opposition Nation Alliance has completed its mission as the elections are over, and all sides will go their separate ways, a senior member of the İYİ (Good) Party has said.
"All alliances are election alliances, and when the election is over, all alliances disappear," İYİ Party Secretary-General Uğur Poyraz said on June 1 in a televised interview.

Some parties to serve without leaders in new term
Despite a substantial variety of political parties to serve, most of their leaders will be absent from the newly elected parliament.
The 28th term parliament, renewed by a 63-percent change in the deputies, will start its duty with a swearing-in ceremony in the following days.
