German police have reported that 24 of the people who were injured in the attack on the Christmas bazaar in Berlin on Monday night have been discharged from the hospital.

Suspect of Planned Chemnitz Attack 'Had Contacts with IS'
Syrian national Jaber al-Bakr, detained by German police over a planned attack in Chemnitz, had contacts with the Islamic State (IS) group, the prosecution says.
The suspect, arrested in the small hours of Monday, is named as Jaber al-Bakr, a Syrian refugee, and has been detained in an operation in Leipzig, 68 km away from Chemnitz.
