Hellenic Fiscal Council delivers mixed picture on economic outlook
The Hellenic Fiscal Council is predicting a slightly higher growth rate than the Stability Program, 2.6% against 2.3% for 2023, while for 2024 it is more pessimistic, expecting GDP to increase by 2.8% against the government forecast for 3%.

The Finance Ministry's 2020 draft budget, which will be tabled in Parliament on Monday, foresees the Greek economy growing by 2 percent this year and 2.8 percent in 2020, the Hellenic Fiscal Council has said in a report endorsing the Finance Ministry's projections.

Gov't receives triple warning
The Hellenic Fiscal Council and the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) warned the government on Wednesday about the threat of stagnation in the economy without the implementation of reforms, along with the threat of fiscal problems in the future from state-guaranteed loans.

Ministry's GDP forecast is reduced to 1.8 percent
A day after the European Commission downwardly revised its Greek growth forecast to 2.1 percent for this year, the Finance Ministry took its own projection even lower, to just 1.8 percent.
