An attack with an AK-47 took place on Tuesday at 6.20′ in the mourning by a single individual.

The assailant just fired three shots against an anti-riot group of police officers that are guarding the offices of the political party PASOK at Charilaou Trikoupi 60.

Specialized Sgt. Özcan Mutlu was heavily wounded when the maneuvering tank fell off a cliff in Uludere on April 5. Mutlu was promptly brought to ??rnak Military Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. 

One soldier was killed early on April 6 in an attack staged by outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants in the southeastern province of Diyarbak?r.

PKK militants opened fire on a specialized sergeant with long-barreled weapons in the Bismil district of Diyarbak?r as he was driving to a nearby gendarmerie post. The sergeant died at the scene.

A special operations police officer was killed on March 29 after being severely wounded in clashes between the security forces and the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants in the southeastern province of ??rnak. 

Four security personnel were killed on March 24 in separate outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) attacks in southeastern Turkish provinces. 

Five security officials have been wounded in an outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) attack during an operation to rescue 28 injured civilians stranded in the basement of a building in the Cizre district of southeastern ??rnak province.
