Tourism management plan
The Tourism Ministry this week presented the framework for the management of tourism destinations, known as Destination Management and Marketing Organization (DMMO). It is aimed at promoting tourism spots, attracting visitors and developing a sustainable regional economy to the benefit of local communities.

The biggest enemy of balconies is invisible
The collapse a few days ago of a hotel balcony on Syngrou Avenue in Athens has sparked a discussion about safety and the need for proper maintenance. On Monday, the Tourism Ministry decided to temporarily suspend the operation of the hotel and the balcony will be removed in the next few days.

Ministry returns Egyptian artifacts
The Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry has returned Egypt's stolen artifacts to the country.
The artifacts, such as the Kaaba key and an embroidered bag, which were found in a cargo package sent from Egypt last year, were returned by Gökhan Yazgı, the head of the Directorate General of Cultural Assets and Museums of the ministry.

Turkish bikers start touring Uganda
The Turkish Embassy in Uganda hosted a group of Turkish motorcycle riders on July 23 touring Africa.
The group called "Ride the Earth," has toured different African countries in the past, dedicating this trip exclusively to Uganda and its many unique attractions such as mountain gorillas and chimp trekking.

Bulgaria: Environment Row Erupts over Sozopol Beach
After the Smokinya North Beach in Sozopol Municipality (southeastern Bulgaria) has been ploughed up for a second year in a row, outraged local residents have alerted the competent institutions.
