The Energy and Water Regulatory Commission will not Allow a Sharp Increase in Electricity Prices

The Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (KEVR) will not allow a sharp increase in electricity prices. This was stated by the commission at an extraordinary briefing.

The three electricity distribution companies in Bulgaria - CEZ, EVN and North Electricity, announced that they want new electricity prices.

Price of Water in Sofia Must Go Up by 18%

The price of water in Sofia will go up by 18% and reach BGN 2.16/cubic metre, showed estimates of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (KEVR).

The plan of the company was returned by the regulator to be reviewed and to achieve less price increase.

The proposal of the commission has to be discussed by the end of the week.

KEVR: Price of Water in Sofia Must Go Up by 18%

The price of water in Sofia should go up by 18% and reach BGN 2.16/cubic metre, showed estimates of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (KEVR).

The regulator has returned twice the business plan of Sofiyska voda which projected an initial price increase of 30%.

The proposal of the commission has to be discussed first before entering into force.

KEVR To Raise Gas Prices by 1.97% As Of October 1

At a closed-door meeting, the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (KEVR) took a final decision regarding the statement submitted by Bulgargaz for confirmation of the prices for the fourth quarter of 2016 at which the public supplier will sell natural gas to end customers and to clients included in the gas distribution network.

Bulgarian Energy Commission Postpones Price Increase Decision

The ?nergy and Water Regulatory Commission held a closed sitting Monday and took the decision of extending the term at which electricity prices would remain intact.

They will mark an slight increase, however, starting August. The law amendment concerning energy distribution in Bulgaria has been voted late last week.
