Six people who hid in a supermarket refrigerator during January's Islamist attacks in Paris have sued French media for broadcasting their location live during the siege.
      

In an article published on Sunday, The Wall Street Journal pointed to Bulgaria as being one of the weak spots through which Jihadists from Europe pass on their way to join IS in Syria and Iraq.

Apart from the more loosely guarded border between Bulgaria and Turkey, Jihadists also often choose the daily ferries between Turkey and Northern Cyprus.

French investigators believe they have established that the jihadists who struck Paris last month were in direct contact before the attacks, a security source said on Feb. 18.        

Phone records appear to show that Cherif Kouachi and Amedy Coulibaly met the night before they started three days of violence in and around Paris on January 7.        

Four men will appear before a judge in France on Jan. 20 to face possible charges of providing support to one of the Paris Islamist attackers, the prosecutors' office said.
      

France charges more than 50 for "praising terrorism"

PARIS -- Over 50 judicial proceedings have been launched in France against people suspected of "praising terrorism" in the wake of last weeks attacks in Paris.

Notorious French comedian Dieudonné was arrested Jan. 14 for being an "apologist for terrorism" after writing a Facebook comment suggesting he sympathised with one of the Paris attacks gunmen, a judicial source said.

Paris has been reluctant in anti-terrorism cooperation following last week's deadly attacks in France by militants with international links, according to the Turkish authorities.

The spouse of one of the suspected Paris attackers had crossed into Syria from Turkey the day before her husband held hostages at a Jewish supermarket in the French capital last week, Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Monday.

France will deploy nearly 5,000 security forces and police to protect the 700 Jewish schools in the country, as Prime Minister Manuel Valls said Jan. 12 that the gunman who attacked a kosher supermarket probably had an accomplice.
      

A man resembling Amedy Coulibaly, who shot a policewoman and took hostages at a Jewish supermarket in the Paris attacks, claimed to be a member of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in a posthumous video released online on Jan. 11.
