Italy: State of emergency extends until May?
The head of the Civil Protection Agency, Angelo Borelli, announced today, as Reuters reports.
The Italian government decided this week to extend the state of emergency by April 13, which restricted freedom of movement and closed down all businesses that are not relevant to the supply of the population.

Because of the Pandemic: Italy Can Lose 100 Billion Euros a Month
Italy's economic losses from shutting down production in the fight against the spread of the coronavirus can amount to about 100 billion euros a month, said President of the Confederation of the Italian Industry Confindustria Vincenzo Boccia.
"If we close 70% (of firms) that means we'll lose 100 billion every 30 days," said Confindustria chief Vincenzo Boccia.

The number of infected people is expected to rise on hourly basis, "Corriere della Sera" writes, adding that the nightmare in Italy began on Friday morning when the first infected person passed away.
