Banks of Greece, Cyprus to sign coop memorandum
Greek central banker Yannis Stournaras is to sign a memorandum of cooperation between the Bank of Greece and the Central Bank of Cyprus on Friday.
To this end, Stournaras will visit Cyprus at the invitation of the governor of the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC), Constantinos Herodotou, accompanied by the deputy governor of the Bank of Greece, Christina Papakonstantinou.

Praise for Cyprus by ECB executive
Philip R. Lane, member of the Executive Board and chief economist at the European Central Bank (ECB), said he is pleased to witness the significant progress of the Cypriot economy.
He was speaking after meetings on Wednesday at the start of his visit to Cyprus that concluded on Thursday, following an invitation from the governor of the Central Bank of Cyprus, Constantinos Herodotou.

Herodotou: European banks are healthy
The governor of the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC), Constantinos Herodotou, said on Wednesday there is concern in the markets that problems with some European banks could evolve into something bigger. He added however that the European Central Bank (ECB) was reassuring about the health of the European banking system.

Central Bank of Cyprus governor tests positive for Covid-19
Constantinos Herodotou, the governor of Cyprus' central bank and a member of the Governing Council of the European Central Bank, has tested positive for Covid-19, he said.
Writing on his Twitter account, Herodotou said he had self-isolated and was working from home.
He tested positive after contact tracing, he said.

Cyta privatization process to be launched by May
Cyprus aims to launch the privatization process for state telecoms company Cyta by May in inviting potential bidders to submit nonbinding expressions of interest, the island?s privatization commissioner said on Friday.
Constantinos Herodotou told a business conference the target date for the completion of the process, which will be in three phases, was the end of 2015.
