Turkish intel ‘neutralizes’ PKK ringleader
The Turkish intelligence agency MİT has "neutralized" Fatma Sakana, a so-called PKK ringleader, in an operation in Syria's north.
Sakana, one of the perpetrators of the PKK attack in the southeastern province of Şırnak that killed 10 Turkish soldiers on Sept. 2, 2012, was "neutralized" during an operation.

PKK’s ‘arsenal’ captured at Istanbul Airport
Arriving at Istanbul Airport with a fake ID from Iran, PKK terrorist Serhat Özel, known as the "arsenal" of the organization, has been captured at the passport control point.
Code-named Kendal Numan Amed, Özel arrived at Istanbul Airport on a plane departing from Iran's Tehran on Oct. 14.

MİT brings two PKK terrorists to Turkey
The National Intelligence National Organization (MİT) has brought two PKK terrorists, who had been operating in northern Iraq, to Turkey.
The intelligence service had been closely monitoring the activities of the terrorist Emrah Adıgüzel and Pervin Arslan for some time, security sources said.

Spat between interior minister, HDP MPs escalate tension in parliament
Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu and Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) lawmakers had exchanged a war of words over security policies of the government that escalated tension at the budget talks of the parliament on Dec. 13.
During the budget negotiations, HDP MPs criticized the appointment of trustees to the municipalities where their party's candidates won at the elections.
Detention warrants issued for senior PKK figures
The Mardin Chief Prosecutor's Office issued a detention warrant on Dec. 13 against senior outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) figures Murat Karayılan and Duran Kalkan, as part of the investigation into the killing of Derik District Governor Muhammet Fatih Safitürk.

PKK-KRG tensions rise after fresh war of words
Ongoing tension between Iraq's Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) is gradually growing, with the former accusing the latter of "treason" against the homeland.
The tension flared after Duran Kalkan, a key leader of the PKK, argued that "central dictatorship in South Kurdistan" is not viable.
