Bulgaria's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mariya Gabriel, announced Estonia's support for Bulgaria's bid to join the eurozone during a news conference on Friday. The declaration followed a meeting with Estonian counterpart Margus Tsahkna, who is on an official visit to Bulgaria at Gabriel's invitation.

Bulgaria's Deputy Prime Minister, Mariya Gabriel, is set to meet with Estonia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Margus Tsahkna, during the latter's official visit to Bulgaria. The discussions will revolve around Estonia's support for Bulgaria's aspirations to join both the Schengen Area and the Eurozone.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned Thursday that any "pauses" in Ukraine's defence against the Russian invasion would only help Moscow to re-arm and allow it to "run us over".

Zelensky spoke in Estonia on the second leg of a Baltic tour aimed at boosting flagging support for his country's almost two-year long fight against Russia.

Estonia's defense minister said on Thursday that Russia may use large-scale military exercises to move thousands of troops permanently into Belarus later this year in a warning to NATO, Reuters reported.
