Three persons arrested over Zvornik attack

Zvornik -- Three persons were arrested and questioned by the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) of Bosnia-Herzegovina in connection with the Zvornik attack.

The terrorist attack on a police station in this town in the Serb entity (RS) in Bosnia-Herzegovina took place on Monday, April 27.

Montenegro: Zvornik Attack Threatens Regional Stability

Montenegrin Foreign Minister Igor Luksic on Tuesday said the terrorist attack in Zvornik in eastern Bosnia posed a threat to ethnic relations in the region and to the stability of the Western Balkans.

He condemned the attack on the police station in Zvornik on Monday, which left one police officer killed and and two others wounded.

Bosnia Police Station Attack Raises Ethnic Tensions

Police and security agencies increased security levels after the attack on a police station in the eastern Bosnian town of Zvornik on Monday evening which left one policeman dead and two injured.

The attacker, who was identified as Nerdin Ibric, a Bosniak born in 1991, was also killed in the shootout with police officers.

Officer killed, two more wounded in Zvornik attack

ZVORNIK - One police officer was killed and two others were wounded late Monday around 7 p.m. when a gunman broke into a police station in Zvornik, a town in Republika Srpska near the Serbian border, Spokesman of the Republika Srpska Interior Ministry Milan Salamadija said.

The attacker shouting "Allahu Akbar" (God is greatest) was shot dead during the attack, Salamadija said.
