Ljajic, Indian minister discuss economic cooperation

BELGRADE - Serbia's Deputy PM and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic spoke Thursday with Indian Minister of State Jitendra Singh about improving overall economic relations between the two countries, especially in the spheres of information and communications technologies and tourism.

Ljajic: Report on cooperation with ICTY could be negative

BELGRADE - The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) could submit a negative report on the cooperation with Serbia over the non- extradition of three Serbian Radical Party (SRS) officials sought by the Tribunal. says Rasim Ljajic, the head of the council for cooperation with the ICTY.

Flood Threat Prompts Serbia to Declare Emergency

Serbia's government said it was declaring an emergency situation as a preventive measure, so that the authorities can react fast in saving lives and repairing damage caused by floods.

"The government will have daily meetings of the headquarters for emergency situations, and will continuously follow the situation in the field and inform citizens about it," it said.
