Turkish president takes opposition CHP leader to court upon 'pervert' debate

As Turkey's political leaders continue to trade harsh epithets in the aftermath of a sexual abuse scandal, President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an has filed yet another complaint against the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader on "insult" charges, demanding 100,000 liras in compensation for non-pecuniary damages.

But there are good terrorists and bad terrorists

In his speeches to Turkish audiences but addressing world leaders, President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an often says that "there should be no good terrorists and bad terrorists" and that "terrorists are terrorists." He's right. But he is not realistic at all if he is seriously expecting the entire world to agree on his own definition of who is a terrorist and who is not. 

Turkish-Saudi alliance in place

On Feb 28, 2015, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an became one of the first regional leaders to visit Riyadh to hold extensive talks with Saudi Arabia's new leader, King Salman, who was crowned in January of that year. Since then, the relationship between the two countries has shown a steady progress through consecutive high-level talks.
