Beşiktaş beats Fenerbahçe to break Kadıköy jinx
Beşiktaş beat Fenerbahçe 4-3 in an Istanbul derby in the Turkish Süper Lig on Nov. 29 night, ending its 15-year winless spell on the Asian side of the city.
The last time Beşiktaş had won at Fenerbahçe's home was on April 17, 2005, when it won with the same result.

Galatasaray upset fans, drawing with 10-man Kayserispor
Galatasaray drew with 10-man Hes Kablo Kayserispor 1-1 in a Turkish Süper Lig match in Istanbul on Nov. 23.
Galatasaray, the home team of the week 9 game, were awarded a penalty kick in the 62nd minute as Norwegian right back Martin Linnes was fouled in the area.
After a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) check, the referee showed the penalty spot.
Lower division team eliminate Beşiktaş from Turkish Cup
Beşiktaş have been eliminated on Jan. 22 from the Ziraat Turkish Cup over a shocking home loss 3-2 to a lower division club, Büyükşehir Belediye Erzurumspor.
The Black Eagles upset their fans as their march in the Turkish Cup ended in the round of 16 phase.
Preparing for a reform year in football
The year 2017 is a reform year for football. A couple of months ago, it was the first time that a 24-club European Championship was played. The World Cup will also have a 48-team format starting in 2026.
