European Parliament Deputy Eva Kaili has appealed to the European Parliament for violation of her parliamentary immunity, in a claim she was surveilled by intelligence services during her tenure on the PEGA committee (Committee of Inquiry to investigate the use of Pegasus and equivalent surveillance spyware), her lawyers Sven Mary and Michalis Dimitrakopoulos said on Monday.

Federal Prosecutor Kathleen Grosjean indicated on Monday that she would ask for a maximum 20-year imprisonment sentence against Salah Abdeslam and Sofien Ayari, Brussels Timesreported.

Salah Abdeslam, believed to be the sole survivor among a group of Islamist militants who killed 130 people in Paris in November, was extradited to France from Belgium on April 27. 

Six people were arrested on March 24 in a series of police raids in Brussels, federal prosecutors said, two days after jihadist attacks in the Belgian capital left 31 dead.

Paris attacks suspect Salah Abdeslam is now willing to be extradited to France, his lawyer has said.

The news, reported by AFP came after Abdeslam had been insisting he would fight the extradition request.

Abdeslam was captured in a special operation in Brussels last week. Some sources suggest  the deadly attacks in Brussels on Tuesday are linked to his arrest.

The prime surviving suspect in the Paris attacks may have been plotting more operations with the help of a weapons cache and a network of associates, Belgium's Foreign Minister Didier Reynders said on March 20.
