Bulgaria's Pavlikeni To Revitalise Antique Ceramics Centre

A project to the amount of BGN 1.5 M has been launched for the revitalisation of the Antique Ceramics Centre near Pavlikeni.

The Mayor of Pavlikeni Emanuil Manolov announced that the purpose of the project is to bring back to life the historical site and turn it into a focal point of cultural and artistic tourism.

Bulgarian Police Cracks Down on Suspected Artefact Hunters

Police in Bulgaria's northeastern Shumen Region have arrested four people suspected of illicit possession of and trading in archaeological artefacts.

As BGNES news outlet reported on Tuesday, police have found 19 marble and stone slabs and sculptures as well as ancient coins and moulds for production of fake coins at the homes of the suspects.

Nevena Arsic jewelry exhibited at Ethnographic Museum

BELGRADE - The exhibition of jewelry by Nevena Arsic, inspired by the antique jewelry from Serbian archaeological sites dating from the Late Antique and Early Byzantine periods and medieval Serbian jewelry, will be opened at the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade on Tuesday.

Arsic will present necklaces, bracelets, rings, hairpins and earrings made of copper or fine silver.
