Turkish traffic police officer shoots driver in leg in Istanbul
A traffic police officer shot a minibus driver in the leg after a quarrel over writing a traffic ticket escalated in Istanbul's Maltepe district on June 25.
A traffic police officer stopped a minibus in Maltepe and wrote a ticket for permitting too many passengers onto the minibus.
Police put on alert over bombs across Istanbul
Police across Istanbul were on alert Jan. 18 after explosives were left around the city, with some of the would-be attacks committed in response to the clashes in southeast Turkey.
