15-year-old Syrian in Turkey's Osmaniye revealed to be pregnant after medical examination
A 15-year-old Syrian girl in the southern Turkish province of Osmaniye has been revealed to be pregnant, Doğan News Agency reported on Dec. 19.
The Syrian girl, only identified by her initials L.H., was taken to the Düziçi State Hospital from a temporary sheltering center in the Düziçi district of Osmaniye, after complaining of stomach pains.
Police detain many in anti-drug operations across Turkey

Some 170,000 packages of cigarettes were seized from a tanker truck in the Mediterranean province of Osmaniye on Oct. 25, Doğan News Agency has reported.
The packages were seized in hidden compartments of the truck during a police search at the entrance to the province.

PKK militants fired three mortar shells from three different points at two neighborhoods on the foothills of the Amanos Mountains in Osmaniye.
Rare bird found shot in Turkey's south
A rare species of bird was found shot on Oct. 7 on the roadside in the southern province of Osmaniye, Doğan News Agency has reported.
Retired teacher Cengiz Gülçür spotted the red-wattled lapwing, which had sustained buckshot wounds to its wings, while returning to Osmaniye from the southeastern province of Şanlıurfa, where he was on vacation.
