Ten people were killed after Indian security forces stormed a siege at a police station in the Indian state of Punjab. Seven people in the police station and the three attackers were all killed during the raid. The attackers, who were armed with automatic weapons had hijacked a car and opened fire at a bus station before going into the Gurdaspur region, according to officials.

Indian security forces were on July 27 battling an armed attack on a police station near the Pakistan border in which at least four people have been killed, three of them civilians.
