OECD chief notes need for Turkish structural reforms
Structural reforms in Turkey are essential if the country wishes to stimulate the economy, according to the secretary-general of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
OECD cuts global growth outlook for 2015, 2016
The OECD cut its world economic growth forecasts for 2015 and 2016 on Sept. 16, warning of a dramatic slowdown in Brazil and a global outlook clouded by uncertainty over China.
The policy analysis club of 34 advanced economies had already slashed its economic forecasts just three months ago because of U.S. weakness.

Ambassador Rende has been serving as the head of Turkeyâs Permanent Delegation to the OECD since the summer of 2013.
OECD cuts growth forecast for Turkey
The OECD has slashed its 2015 growth forecast for Turkey from 4 to 3.2 percent in its latest Economic Outlook, released ahead of the upcoming G-20 Summit scheduled for Nov. 15.
The outlook also stated that the OECD expects some acceleration for the Turkish economy in 2016, predicting 4 percent growth.
