Archaeologists in Egypt stumbled upon a new discovery dating back to more than 2,500 years ago near Egypt's famed pyramids at an ancient necropolis south of Cairo.

Scientists have discovered a hidden chamber in the Great Pyramid of Giza using a space-based imaging method, world news agencies reported.

This is the first such discovery in the pyramid of the 19th century and is likely to increase interest in the pyramid.

The empty space is the size of a passenger airplane. So far it has been secret, remaining intact for 4500 years.

The remains of an Egyptian pyramid built around 3,700 years ago have been discovered near the well-known "bent pyramid" of King Snefru, the antiquities ministry announced on April 3. 

The pyramid from the 13th dynasty was found in Dahshur's royal necropolis, some 30 kilometers south of Cairo, it said.

Egyptian authorities are outraged by a graphic video that features adult film actress Aurita flashing her body while complaining about the anciet sites on offer at the iconic pyramids. She says, "This f****** sucks. What is there to look at?" The actress, thought to be of Russian descent, flashes her body before the clip culminates with graphic scenes between the actress and her costar.
