Bulgarian Farmers Joining EU-Wide Protest over Prices
Tens of Bulgarian farmers are to demonstrate in Brussels along with producers from Italy, France, Belgium and other European nations over dairy and meat prices on Monday.
The action is to coincide with an extraordinary session of the Agriculture Ministers from across the EU.
Bulgaria to Seek EU Aid for Abolished Milk Quotas
Bulgaria and ten other member states will seek EU aid to compensate for the abolition of the milk quotas.
This was announced by the Deputy Agriculture Minister Tsvetan Dimitrov in an interview for the Bulgarian National Television (BNT) on Friday.

New Subsidies for Bulgarian Farmers in 2015
The budget for direct payments for farmers in 2015 is estimated to be BGN 1.4 B, as stated by the Minister of Agriculture and Food, Desislava Taneva.
She made the announcement at a press conference and thus introduced the campaign for euro subsidies starting on March 1.

European Commissioner Ciolos: Romania has all EU instruments to support milk producers
Romania has all instruments provided by the European Union, both as regards the system of direct payments and the rural development program, to make sure milk producers can be supported to cope with the removal of milk quotas at EU level as of January 1, 2015, European Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development Dacian Ciolos said on Tuesday.
