Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev revealed that the modernization of the Vitosha lifts is estimated to require between 100 and 150 million euros, as he informed the publication "24 Chasa". However, the municipality currently lacks the necessary funds for this project.

At a meeting of the Specialized Committee of the Municipal Expert Council on Territorial Planning, the preliminary draft of a detailed plan for the extension of the metro in Sofia from the "Vitosha" metro station to the "Studentski Grad" district with three new metro stations was accepted.

There is high avalanche risk in the Rila, Pirin and Rhodope mountains, the Mountain Rescue Service with the Bulgarian Red Cross told Focus News Agency. The weather is cloudy and calm, light wind blowing in some parts. The avalanche danger increases as the weather gets better.

A Mountain Rescue Service team helped a man lost in Vitosha. This was announced by the BRC office.

The Mountain Service of Sofia has made a rescue opertation on Monday night. Going down from Cherni Vrah, the man lost himself because of the bad weather and fog. At 18.30, he managed to alert the rescuers.

The conditions for hiking in the lower parts of the mountains are good. This was announced by the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC) FOCUS Agency from the Mountain Rescue Service (MSF). There are good conditions for hiking in the region of Stara Planina.

The lift in Dragalevtsi stopped operating. Last Friday, the lift was damaged and now the owner of ''Vitosha Ski'' checks the cause of the accident, reported bTV. 

The company did not commit to forecasting when the facility would work again.

If you want to get from Dragalevtsi to Cherni Vrah, you have to do it by foot.

Today there will be significant clouds over the country and rains in many places. Only in some areas, there will be thunders too, according to the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH).

 In Western Bulgaria, the clouds will decrease in the afternoon.

There will be light, in Eastern Bulgaria and Struma valley moderate to strong northern wind.
