Gurvinder Singh to open Auteur Film Festival on Friday
BELGRADE - Indian film director Gurvinder Singh will open the 22nd Auteur Film Festival at Dom omladine in Belgrade Friday evening.
The festival program will consist of 82 films, while the main program will bring 22 films 12 of which will be competing for the festival's Aleksandar Sasa Petrovic Grand Prix.
FAF: Indian film Court wins Grand Prix
BELGRADE - The film Court by Indian director Chaitanya Tamhane has won the Aleksandar Petrovic Grand Prix at the 20th Art Film Festival (FAF).
Chaitanya, who both directed and wrote the script for Court, received the award at the closing ceremony at Dom Omladine in Belgrade on Wednesday.

Basketball coach Aleksandar Petrovic dies
BELGRADE - Famous basketball coach Aleksandar Petrovic died on Monday at the age of 56 after a long disease.
Petrovic was born in Pozega on October 14, 1959 and during his career, he coached Belgrade-based Radnicki, Hemofarm, FMP, Lokomotiv - Rostov, UNICS, Zalgiris and Azovmash.

BELGRADE - A roundtable debate entitled 'Sasa Petrovic's European heritage' was held in the Yugoslav Cinematheque on Wednesday to mark the 20th anniversary of death of famous Serbian director Aleksandar Sasa Petrovic.
