Umbrella faction takes further step towards rift with new statement
Top officials and hundreds of members of the main opposition party published a document on Thursday in which they raised further concerns about the direction SYRIZA has taken since the elections of its new leader, Stefanos Kasselakis, as turmoil within the party continues to brew.
SYRIZA executive meeting on Thursday amid struggle for unity
The executive office of the main opposition is meeting on Thursday afternoon on Thursday for the first time under SYRIZA's new leadership amid an internal strife that broke out with the expulsion of top officials by Stefanos Kasselakis.
The meeting is scheduled at 4.30 p.m. at the party headquarters.

Outsider to boost voter turnout in SYRIZA election
Main opposition SYRIZA expects that at least 55,000 members will take part in the Sunday ballot to elect a new leader, which is, however, a far cry from the 152,193 in May 2022, when former leader Alexis Tsipras won the race without a rival for the presidency.
However, the candidacy of outsider Stefanos Kasselakis has apparently revitalized the process.

SYRIZA announces launch of campaign for new party leader, to be elected Sep 10
Main opposition party SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance on Monday officially announced the launch of the campaign for the election of a new party leader, scheduled to be held on September 10.
Two main pre-electoral mottos are "On September 10, I participate" and "Tomorrow begins with us", it was noted in the party announcement.
