Austria to introduce border controls
Austria will introduce temporary border controls, Austrian Interior Minister Johanna Mikl Leitner has said.
She specified that her country will, like Germany, due to the current refugee crisis introduce "temporary border controls."

Austria Strengthening Border Controls, Sends Army to Help Deal with Migrant Influx
Austria said on Monday it will deploy about 2,200 troops to help deal with a massive migrant influx across its border with Hungary.
Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann told reporters in Vienna that the military would be mainly tasked with helping deliver humanitarian aid inside Austria but they "will also assist in a strengthening of border controls where necessary," AFP reported.
Czech Republic Beefs up Police Force at Border with Austria
The Czech Foreign Minister Lubomir Zaoralek said on Monday the country won't introduce checks at its border with Austria for the time being - unlike Germany which has reintroduced controls along its border with Austria to stem a massive migrant influx.
"For us, the situation is not such that we would consider some fundamental measures," Zaoralek said, according to Reuters
Orban calls on Austria to join Hungary in closing border
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on Sunday said Austria and his country should close their borders.
In a statement broadcast by Austria's state television ORF, he said the two countries should state clearly they will not accept more refugees, "because otherwise several million people would arrive in Europe."

Austria introduces tougher border controls
Austria has introduced controls of trucks at its eastern border after the recent tragedy in which 71 refugees lost their lives in a truck driven by traffickers.
Since Sunday evening, Austria has been implementing checks that were in place before the Schengen Agreement came into force.

Three Bulgarians Detained over Death of 71 Migrants in Truck in Austria
Austrian and Hungarian police have launched a joint investigation into the death of 71 migrants, including eight women and four children, in a refrigeration truck in Austria.
An Austrian police official said at a news conference in the town of Eisenstadt that one of the people arrested in Hungary as driver of the truck is a Bulgarian national.

Hungarian police have arrested the driver of a truck found on an Austrian motorway packed with the decomposing bodies of 71 people, including at least four children.

Austrian police have stopped a Bulgarian-registerd van packed with 42 migrants, Press Association news agency reported on Sunday.
Police in Lower Austria province arrested the 37-year old Romanian driver of the vehicle.
Migrants said he had driven them from the Serbian-Hungarian border, according to the national news agency for the UK and Ireland .
