Supreme Court Prosecutor Georgia Adelini on Wednesday rejected accusations that there is an ongoing effort to cover up presumptive misdealings by guilty parties in the official investigation into the deadly train crash at Tempe last year. 

"There is absolutely no judicial cover-up in the case of the Tempe accident," Adelini said at the 9th Economic Forum of Delphi. 

A recently unveiled Europol report has shown the pervasive influence of criminal networks in the European Union, particularly implicating Bulgarians, Romanians, Serbs, and Ukrainians in the most perilous operations related to human trafficking for labor and sexual exploitation.

A major security breach has taken place within the EU police service - Europol, as detailed by the online publication 'POLITICO'. The report specifies that confidential documents belonging to high-ranking officials of the institution have gone missing, leading to a crisis within the organization.

Following a months-long investigation that also involved the cooperation of Europol, police have busted a criminal gang and seized some 4,650 counterfeit travel documents that were intended to facilitate illegal migration.

Eleven people were arrested as part of the investigation, with police believing that they facilitated at least 50 cases of human smuggling and illegal migration.

The Supreme Court's intervention in the Tempe train collision investigation shows that the judiciary, at least, understands that the institutions are under the public's microscope in this case, and that it is of the greatest importance to restore citizens' faith in them.
