Annual inflation accelerates to 4.6% in November
Ljubljana – Slovenia’s annual inflation rate accelerated to 4.6% in November from 3% in the month before, the highest it has been since late 2008, on the back of higher prices of oil derivatives, show the latest Statistics Office data. At the monthly level prices were up by 0.7%.

Greece's Piraeus Bank appoints new board chairman
Piraeus Bank, Greece's largest lender, has appointed George Handjinicolaou as its new board chairman, it said on Tuesday.
Handjinicolaou, who is taking over immediately, was most recently deputy chief executive officer at the London-based International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA), Piraeus said in a statement.

Bitcoin to be classed as a commodity in the US
Bitcoin, a virtual currency that allows users to exchange online credits for goods and services, will now be classed as a commodity in the U.S. along with gold and oil, according to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
This decision follows a clampdown on unregistered firms which trade derivatives of the crypto-currency.

Turkish derivatives to launch on London Stock Exchange on Sept 14
The trading of Turkish equity index derivatives products on the London Stock Exchange Derivatives Market will start on Sept. 14, the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) has said following a partnership agreement signed between the LSEG and Borsa Istanbul earlier this year.
Greece must pay tranche for derivative on Friday
Payments on a swap originally arranged by Goldman Sachs Group Inc in 2001 are due on Friday, said a person familiar with the matter who asked not to be identified publicly.
The derivative, now held by the National Bank of Greece, masked the country?s growing debt, helping it meet European Union rules for entering the euro area.
