Parking in the "blue" and "green" zones in Sofia will be free of charge on the holidays. 

The residents and guests of the capital will be able to park their cars at the designated places without paying  on December 24, 25 and 26 and January 1.

During the public holidays, including today, 26 December 2018, and 1 January 2019, the Blue and Green short-term parking zones in the capital will not be operational, said the Urban Mobility Centre. Parking in these areas will be free of charge; in all other days during the holiday week the regular parking rules for the zones will apply.

Parking in the paid parking areas in the capital will be free of charge during the eight holiday days around Christmas and New Year, the Center for Urban Mobility announced.

The Blue Zone and the Green Zone can be used free of charge on 23, 25, 26, 27 and 30 December 2017 and January 1, 2018.

New paid parking zones will operate in Bulgaria's capital Sofia from 2nd of October, reported the Bulgarian National Television. 

Green parking zones are added to the existing ones in the central part. They will include zones from "Lozentes" and "Sredets" residential areas.

5,000 additional parking spaces will be added to the parking zones in the capital city.
