Turkish and British officials have refuted some media reports in the U.K., on personal protective equipment (PPE) purchased from Turkey, which were claimed to be "useless" after failing safety tests.

United Kingdom Ambassador to Ankara Dominick Chilcott visited Demirören Media headquarters in Istanbul on Feb. 11 to exchange views on bilateral relations between the two countries and the situation of media in Turkey with chief executive Mehmet Soysal.

Turkey and the United Kingdom will intensify talks for a bilateral free trade agreement that would be implementable after Brexit, British Ambassador to Turkey Dominick Chilcott has said, adding that the future agreement will aim to create conditions to boost the level of bilateral trade. 

Almost three million British tourists are expected to visit Turkey in 2018, British Ambassador to Turkey Dominick Chilcott said on May 7.
