Gazprom Paid USD 1 B to Eni, EDF, Wintershall for 50% Stake in South Stream
Gazprom has paid a total of RUB 56.12 B (around USD 1 B) to the European partners in South Stream Transport BV, Eni, EDF, Wintershall, for their stakes in the South Stream gas pipeline.
According to reports of the Russian energy giant, as cited by Interfax, it bought the shares in the consortium of Germany's Wintershall, Italy's ENI, and France's EDF.

Turkey's plans to bring online its first nuclear power plant in 2019 are likely to be pushed at least three years back, according to a senior Turkish energy official, Reuters reported on Monday.

KIEV -- Ukraine plans to stop buying Russian natural gas on April, Ukraine's Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Vladimir Demchishin said on Monday.
"There is no need to buy Russian gas at the moment. We will simply stop buying it. There is no sense of buying it at a price higher than in Europe," he said, according to Reuters.
