‘Top Gun’ sequel to screen at Cannes Film Festival
The Cannes Film Festival on April 1 confirmed that "Top Gun: Maverick," the long-delayed sequel to the 1986 Tom Cruise actioner, will screen as part of Cannes' 75th-anniversary edition, the Hollywood Reporter has reported.

The Sundance film festival unveiled plans on Dec. 2 to screen premieres at drive-ins and arthouse theaters across the United States and online, as the movie industry continues to adapt to the crippling effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Annual Boston Turkish Film Festival goes virtual
The Boston Turkish Film Festival kicked off Nov. 22 after a nine-month hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"Films of the 19th Annual Boston Turkish Film Festival, which were originally scheduled for March 19 - April 5, 2020 but cancelled in response to circumstances caused by COVID-19, are now presented on a virtual platform," according to its website.

Int'l Migration Film Festival kicks off
Turkey's International Migration Film Festival is set to begin in the southeastern Gaziantep province June 14 night.
The opening ceremony of the festival will be held in a real-time 3D virtual studio with images of the historic Mecidiye Han cultural center.
The festival will be online-only due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Countdown for Int'l Migration Film Festival
Turkey's International Migration Film Festival will start on June 14.
The opening and closing ceremonies of the festival will be held in a real-time 3D virtual studio which offers the closest image to a photo reality.
So for the first time in the world, an international event will meet the audience with "augmented reality."
