Natural gas prices will rise by more than 25% in April, the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) decided in the late afternoon yesterday. The main reason is the increase in supply prices on international markets. Due to another increase in the price of gas, the price of heating and hot water will increase, but from May.

In their personal experience, people feel a rise in prices - 97% of respondents aged 18 to 64 have felt the rise in prices, mostly in food, fuel and heating costs.

Global food prices surged in May at its fastest pace since October 2010, BBC reported. The foods rose by 39.7 % on monthly basis, a report by the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) showed. The robust growth of prices was largely due to pandemic restrictions which disrupted deliveries in some parts of the world.

World food prices declined in April for the third month in a row, affected by the economic and logistical negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic, the UN Food Agency reported on Thursday, BNR reported, citing Reuters.

Biofuels in the EU are deeply intertwined with global food and feed markets. As the EU discusses its future biofuels policy, their contribution to the bloc’s animal feed supply and impact on food prices have emerged as major battlegrounds between supporters and critics.

The price of international food commodities registered their largest monthly drop in seven years in August, the U.N. food agency said on Sept. 10, a slide likely to further hurt the struggling farming sector.
