Elpidophoros Encyclical on AHEPA Day
May 21, 2023, the third Sunday of May, is AHEPA Day which is observed by the Greek Orthodox Church in America.
AHEPA, the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association, was founded in Atlanta in July 1922.

Archdiocese of America to participate in Greece's bicentennial
The Archdiocese of America and its members will take "active part" in the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the 1821 Greek War of Independence, Archbishop Elpidophoros said on Friday, during regular meeting of church officials.
Elpidophoros said it is a "historic anniversary" for the Greek nation and "for all of us Greek-Americans."
Elpidophoros gives Christmas interview to school children
Archbishop Elpidophoros of America gave a playful Christmas interview to children from the Saint Basil Academy in Garrison, New York, which is run by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
The children asked the Archbishop questions that ranged from his favourite food and how many languages he speaks, to advice on how to achieve success and how he spent Christmas as a child.
