Construction activities at major infrastructure sites in Bangkok have been halted due to air pollution, according to the Nation newspaper.

Construction of skyscrapers, new road junctions and new subway lines has been halted for 72 hours, the release said.

At least 36 people were killed and 23 were injured in a building collapse in Cambodia and workers were buried beneath the rubble, authorities said, according to Reuters.

London still reigns supreme on the annual MasterCard Global Destinations Cities Top 10 Index, although Asian cities are catching up.
Bangkok remains number two with 18.24 million international overnight visitors and is catching up to the British capital.

Asia has become a quite popular tourism destination over the last few years and several Asian cities have managed to find their way onto the list of most popular cities in the world.

Euromonitor International who recently published data on the list of cities which drew the most visitors in 2013. Asian cities are dominant.
