Staff shortages dent Hong Kong air hub reboot hopes
Regional airlines are struggling to ramp up flights to Hong Kong because of staff shortages at the airport, slowing the city's plan to recapture its travel hub status, industry insiders have said.
Hong Kong, which calls itself Asia's World City, once had one of the globe's busiest, and best-connected, airports.

The Head of the Chinese Company, which Won the Concession of Plovdiv Airport, has Passed Away
Chinese tycoon Wang Jian, co-founder and chairman of the giant Chinese conglomerate HNA Group (Hainan Group), died after an incident in France, the company said on Wednesday. 57-year-old Wang Jian has fallen in Provence where he was on a business visit, the message said.
Government Appointed New Concessionaire at Plovdiv Airport
The government has appointed the new concessionaire at Plovdiv Airport (at Bulgaria's second largest city) following a procedure.
The new airport operator is a consortium between the Chinese company Hainan Group and Plovdiv Airport Invest.
Flights from Beijing to Belgrade restored
BELGRADE - Flights from Beijing to Belgrade were on Friday restored after 17 years as Serbian PM Ana Brnabic welcomed a Hainan Airlines Airbus A330-300 at the Nikola Tesla Airport.
"It is fantastic to see the results of hard work and this is why people consent to invest their whole lives in the work of the government," she told reporters.

First plane on new Beijing-Belgrade route lands
The first plane on the newly-established Beijing-Belgrade route on Friday landed at Belgrade's Nikola Tesla International Airport.
The Hainan Airlines Airbus A330-300 was welcomed by Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic and Chinese Ambassador Li Manchang, as well and representatives of the Chinese carrier.
