Former king’s funeral to take place on Monday

The funeral service of Constantine, the former and last king of Greece, will take place on Monday at the Athens Metropolitan Cathedral according to a release on Wednesday. The former king will later be buried as a private citizen in Tatoi.

The time of the funerary service as well as the length of time the body will lie in state will be determined at a latter date.

Ministry starts the research on Pasha Gate Inscription

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has started research on the lost inscription of the Pasha Gate of Edirne Governorship Building, built by Edirne Governor Ali Celal Pasha in 1818.

Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy stated archival research has been started to search on when, by whom or how the inscription was displaced.

Algerian LNG vessel arrives in Turkey

Algerian energy company Hyproc Shipping's LNG carrier, Lalla Fatma N'Soumer, reached Turkey on July 9, according to ship-tracking data.

The vessel, which has a capacity of 144,888 cubic meters, left Algeria's port of Arzew on July 2 and arrived at its final destination, the Aliaga LNG terminal on July 9 at 21.00 local time.

The ship is sailing under the Bahamas flag.

Unofficial historical registry of Turkish diplomacy on table shelf

An antique table at the Turkish embassy in London has shed light on a succession of diplomats for nearly 113 years, excluding a gap of six years in the 1960s, former and incumbent ambassadors have said.

The first signature on the table's shelf was put in 1907 by "First Secretary M." (Başkatip M.)

World leaders travel to Oman to meet its newly named sultan

World leaders traveled on Jan. 12 to Oman to meet the country's new sultan, named just a day earlier after the death of the nation's longtime ruler Sultan Qaboos bin Said.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Prince Charles were among those who arrived in Muscat to meet Oman's new ruler, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said.

In the next three days, in connection with the preparation and holding of the military parade on the occasion of the celebration of the Bulgarian Army Day and the Feast of the Bulgarian Army, helicopters and airplanes of the Air Force (Air Force) of the Republic of Bulgaria will perform flights flying at a low altitude above Knyaz Alexander I Square.
