Massive Cocaine Seizure: 170 kg Discovered in Bananas at Port of Burgas

170 kilograms of cocaine were found concealed within a shipment of bananas at the Burgas city's port. The illicit cargo, valued at approximately $6.8 million, marks one of the largest drug seizures in the history of the Burgas Port Complex, BTA reported. Containers full of passports stolen in Athens

Containers full of passports were stolen from a Hellenic Post delivery truck by an unidentified group in the Athens neighborhood of Kallithea on Monday afternoon.

The incident occurred at approximately 1.45 p.m. when the group broke into delivery truck after the driver pulled over for a few minutes.

The passport containers were equipped with a GPS tracking system.

 

Luka Koper’s H1 revenue, net profit up

Koper – Port operator Luka Koper generated EUR 114.7 million in net sales revenue in the first six months of the year, which is up 7% compared to the same period last year. Net profit increased by 2% to EUR 15.4 million, and operating profit (EBIT) was up 3% to EUR 17.7 million.

Sales revenue was 5% above plan, net profit by 49% and EBIT by 51%, reads the group’s unaudited report.
