International reactions to the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation

The United States and its European allies remain committed to finding a diplomatic solution to tensions with Russia over the crisis in Ukraine, US President Barack Obama said on Monday.

Germany won't send weapons to Ukraine - Merkel

BUDAPEST -- German Chancellor Angela Merkel has said that her country will not supply weapons to Ukraine.

She added that Berlin supports negotiations and a diplomatic solution to the conflict between Ukrainian and pro-Russian forces in the east of Ukraine.

During his visit to Ukraine, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic - whose country chairs the OSCE in 2015 - said Serbia respected the territorial integrity of Ukraine and would consider it a basic principle while heading the organisation.

Foreign Ministry: No observers in Ukraine

BELGRADE -- Representatives of Serbia's official institutions had not been employed as observers in the electoral process in the east of Ukraine on November 2.

The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also announced on Wednesday that such representatives had in no way been involved in that process.
