International Centre for Peace Studies and Diplomacy named after the late Seychelles Founding President Sir James Mancham has been officially inaugurated on Eden Island, near the capital Victoria.
Seychelles' First President Dies Aged 77
Sir James Mancham, the first President of the Seychelles, passed away at his residence on Sunday morning, a family member has said.
"Doctors had confirmed the death" of the former head of state, Seychelles News Agency quotes Mancham's nephew Dereck Pothin as saying.

Seychelles Founding President James Mancham Attends Reception in Sofia
Sir James Mancham, Founding President of the Republic of Seychelles, arrived in Bulgaria to attend a reception celebrating the 10th anniversary of the consular office in Sofia.
The reception was given by Maxim Behar, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Seychelles in Bulgaria.
