Turkish, Palestinian FMs talk Al-Aqsa crisis on phone

Turkey's foreign minister held a phone conversation on July 21 with his Palestinian counterpart about the recent tension after Israeli officials imposed restrictions on Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa compound. 

According to diplomatic sources, Turkey's Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Riyad al-Malki discussed recent developments there. 

Spanish vote on Palestinian state unhelpful: Israel

Israel denounced as unhelpful on Nov. 19 a vote by the Spanish parliament, hours after a deadly Jerusalem synagogue attack, calling on Madrid to recognise a Palestinian state.
      
In a highly symbolic move, Spanish MPs adopted almost unanimously a motion urging the conservative government to recognise Palestine in coordination with any similar move by the European Union. 

Israel demolishes Jerusalem home of Palestinian car killer

Israeli forces Nov. 19 razed the east Jerusalem home of a Palestinian who killed two Israelis with his car last month as it speeded up the application of a controversial demolition policy.
      
"The home of the terrorist, who killed an Israeli baby and a young woman on October 22 in a tram station in Jerusalem, was destroyed in Silwan," an army statement said.
