Turkish authorities have identified the suspected perpetrator of the attack in Suruc on Monday, which claimed the lives of at least 32 people and injured hundreds.

According to the report, one of three female members of Islamic State (IS), who had crossed into Turkey in June to carry out suicide bombings, could be one of the perpetrators of the attack.

A female suicide bomber who crossed into Turkey last month allegedly conducted the deadly Suruç attack in southeastern Turkey on July 20, daily Habertürk has reported.

Initial findings suggest that Islamic State (IS) group is behind Monday's blast in the southeastern Turkish town of Suruc that killed at least 30 people,  Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has said.

"This is a terrorist attack by a suicide bomber. The target of this attack is Turkey," todayszaman.com quoted Davutoglu as saying at a news conference on Monday.

A blast in Turkey's district of Suruc near the border with Syria killed at least  27 people on Monday, Anadolu Agency (AA) reported.

At least another 100 people were sent to hospitals in the area, AA quoted police officials as saying.

The death toll is expected to rise, according to police.

A Syrian Kurdish militia said on July 1 it had recovered full control of the border town of Tel Abyad after the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) fighters raided its outskirts the day before in preparation for a larger assault. 

Just like their ancestors forced from their homes in Eastern Anatolia in 1915-16, the last Armenian families living in the embattled northern Syrian town of Kobane have fled after the repeated jihadist attacks - and they do not intend to go back. 

Turkey's top security board has expressed concern over "demographic changes" in northern Syria to the advantage of Syrian Kurds and "terror acts" committed by jihadists against civilians, while avoiding to give a clear sign of a military intervention into its southern neighbor.
 

At least 120 civilians have been killed by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group since it entered the Syrian Kurdish town of Kobane just over 24 hours ago, a monitoring group said June 26.

Tanju Bilgiç, a spokesman for the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs spoke to journalists today, during a press conference, and categorically denied all allegations that ISIS fighters entered Kobane from Turkish soil.

He stated that after the jihadist attack against Kobane, 63 injured were transferred to Turkey, and two of them are dead, including a child.

A group of Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) militants has stormed into Kobane, the Kurdish-dominated Syrian town near the Turkish border which they failed to capture at the start of 2015 after four months of deadly clashes, in a new bid to fight back a Kurdish advance.
