Turkish Authorities Identify Alleged Perpetrator of Attack in Suruc

Turkish authorities have identified the suspected perpetrator of the attack in Suruc on Monday, which claimed the lives of at least 32 people and injured hundreds.

According to the report, one of three female members of Islamic State (IS), who had crossed into Turkey in June to carry out suicide bombings, could be one of the perpetrators of the attack.

Initial findings suggest that Islamic State (IS) group is behind Monday's blast in the southeastern Turkish town of Suruc that killed at least 30 people,  Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has said.

"This is a terrorist attack by a suicide bomber. The target of this attack is Turkey," todayszaman.com quoted Davutoglu as saying at a news conference on Monday.

Turkey denies allegations that ISIS assaulted Kobane from Turkish soil

Tanju Bilgiç, a spokesman for the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs spoke to journalists today, during a press conference, and categorically denied all allegations that ISIS fighters entered Kobane from Turkish soil.

 

He stated that after the jihadist attack against Kobane, 63 injured were transferred to Turkey, and two of them are dead, including a child.
